Obituary
Elaine “Lonnie” Kahn, beloved wife of the late David J. Kahn, happily married for 53 years; loving mother of Cheri (Kirk) Van Deraa and Howard (Jill Howard) Kahn; cherished Nana of Arielle Van Deraa, Jeremy (Gilly) Kahn, Sam (Miriam) Kahn and Amanda Howard; doting great grandmother of Dina Rose; adored sister of Marylin (the late Barry) Ruche and Arthur (Judi) Lang; treasured aunt of many nieces. Elaine was ahead of her time as both an environmental activist and as a teacher. She did all things with love. Synagogue service Tuesday, 1PM at Am Shalom, 840 Vernon Avenue, Glencoe. Interment will follow at Shalom Memorial Park, 1700 W Rand Road, Arlington Heights. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
